Why go there?
In 1683, to mark the second marriage of Louis XIV, Dom Paul Carmet, a visionary monk from Épernay, created an exceptional cuvée called Cuvée du Coeur. Two copies were made: one was humbly offered to the King, the other secretly kept by the monk.
Today, the Épernay Tourist Office has gathered together precious archives relating to the Cuvée du Cœur. Driven by the desire to reveal this treasure from the past, the team would like to entrust these items to those who feel ready to take up the challenge... and enter the legend themselves.
