After receiving a welcome glass of champagne from Domaine Julien Chopin’s Les Originelles Blanc de Noirs Extra brut in Monthelon, you will be personally greeted by our 2 Chefs:

  • Philippe Mille, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, chef/owner of Arbane and M Receptions
  • Sébastien Morellon, Chef de la Belle Epoque Society at Maison Perrier-Jouët.

And meet our local craftsmen and women in the magnificent salons of Epernay’s Hôtel de Ville.

HIGHLIGHT OF THIS EVENING: a masterclass launched by our 2 Chefs and hosted by Nicolas Rieffel, Gastronomic Animator and Agitator, candidate in the Masterchef programme in 2010, for a moment rich in gustatory discovery! You’ll be able to taste 8 exceptional wines from the entire Champagne AOC, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, presented by our partners.

The number of places for this exceptional evening is limited to 80, so don’t wait to book yours!

Take a look at the ‘Quintessence des sous-bois’ bite: parmesan and Espelette pepper shortbread, accompanied by a bavaroise of wild mushrooms, coffee cream and shimeji pickles.

Discover our champagne partners and their cuvées which will sublimate the bites of this exceptional evening:

  • Champagne Perrier-Jouët in Epernay, with its champagne Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Brut 2015, which embodies the harmony between chardonnay and pinot noir.
    This blend creates a cuvée with aromas of white flowers, followed by fruity notes.
  • Champagne De Sousa à Avize and its cuvée Réserve in magnum, 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru from the Côte des Blancs.
    A fresh, elegant champagne with notes of brioche, butter and ripe citrus fruit.
  • Champagne Drappier à Urville and its Millésime ‘Exception 2012’, a cuvée with a floral touch that testifies to the high proportion of chardonnay, while the depth of pinot noir expresses itself through notes of red fruit and pretty bitters.

  • Champagne Bolieu à Bassuet with the Fleur de Craie cuvée, a rich, generous, powerful champagne with buttery, stewed notes.

As part of #Champagne Day and Pink October, the Epernay en Champagne Tourist Office wanted to honour LISE – Institut du Sein de Champagne in Bezannes, which is involved in the fight against breast cancer.

Dr. Cutuli, President of this association, will be honouring us with his presence!

Oenological and cultural experience

#Champagne Day at the Champagne wine and regional Archaeologyl Museum

To mark the occasion, the museum is offering three tasting tours in the company of a champagne producer.

A member of the museum staff will introduce you to an object from the champagne collection during a flash visit (15 minutes) in the company of a champagne producer. You are then invited to a tasting session in the museum’s lounges.
