Why go there?

The landscapes and collective imagination of the Montagne de Reims are deeply marked by the production of coal, bricks, and tiles. Now hidden beneath vegetation or in ruins, these worlds that once bound earth to fire still fuel dialogues between generations. Invited by Le Cerf à 3 pattes for a long-term residency, artist Lucille Uhlrich has conceived MISE À FEU, a collaborative project punctuated by walks in the forest and introductions to primitive firing techniques, culminating in the creation of a monumental sculpture fired in a kiln.
