But what is it?
Spirulina is a microscopic blue/green alga known as cyanobacteria that grows in brackish water (Chad, Mexico, China) and has very rich nutritional properties. It is composed mainly of protein and iron.
Aquaponics is a food production system that combines plant cultivation and fish farming. Plants can be grown on clay balls. They are irrigated in a closed circuit with water from an aquarium where the fish are raised.
