Habits de Lumière 2025 will be the 25th edition of this eagerly awaited end-of-year event!
The show promises to be exceptional, marking a quarter of a century of Habits de Lumière and crowning the centenary celebrations of Avenue de Champagne.
Come back after mid-November to discover the full programme for the three days of festivities in the heart of the Champagne capital.
Programme of the Habits de Lumière
While waiting for the official programme to be released after mid-November, here is the programme of events that everyone is looking forward to:
Les Habits de Lumière, Avenue de Champagne, Friday and Saturday:
- Video mapping on the façades of monuments along Avenue de Champagne
- Parade, live show on the avenue
- Fireworks display
- Cellar tours and Champagne tastings at the Champagne Houses
Les Habits de Saveurs are the highlight of Saturday:
- Cooking demonstrations by Michelin-starred chefs paired with wines from the Maisons du Comité de l’Avenue de Champagne, at the Halle Saint-Thibault
- Young Bakers’ Competition
- Food and wine pairing workshops
The Sunday Motor Parade brings together more than 400 vehicles that will parade through the streets of Epernay.
Festive evenings
On Friday and Saturday nights, two festive evenings take place on the avenue de Champagne. Illuminations, video-mappings, champagne bars, musical entertainment and fireworks create a unique and festive atmosphere. These evenings highlight the avenue de Champagne and the great Houses that have made its reputation.
Gourmet Day
On Saturday, the gastronomy is in the honor, during the Habits de Saveurs. In the morning, the starred chefs join forces with the Champagne Avenue winegrowers and local producers to create an original recipe during a demonstration-tasting open to all. In the afternoon, little chefs compete in front of the public during the ” Concours des p’tits pâtissiers”. Food and wine pairing workshops and cellar visits complete the festivities.
Automobile parade
On Sundays, a parade of vintage vehicles enlivens the city streets. Today, it brings together more than 400 vehicles, making it one of the largest gatherings of its kind in north-eastern France.
Tips from the team to get the most out of it!
A very important tip:
It will soon be December, which means Christmas is coming, and with it, the return of cold weather. As you know, walking around the streets for several hours at night makes your body get cold!
Be sure to dress warmly with warm clothing, warm walking shoes and good socks. Don’t hesitate to bring a hat, gloves and a scarf!
