Exposition : Marne En Brumes, Par Anne Duteurtre

“I was born in 1978 in Laxou, grew up in Épernay, then moved around, and have been living in Lille since 2002.

I have been practising the plastic arts in general, and painting in particular, for… as long as I can remember, and I let my brushes wander according to my contemplations. 

Elusive, the mist clings to the landscape, concealing and revealing it, caressing and enveloping it. Constantly shifting and evolving, it blurs the horizon, enveloping it in softness and mystery. It absorbs or diffuses the light, thus uniting landscapes across the globe: mountains, plains, hills, rivers, lakes, the sea… beyond the seasons, beyond borders. 

I have been working with the spellbinding substance of mist at the tips of my brushes for quite some time now, and the poetic beauty of the mist-shrouded Marne is one of my unforgettable childhood memories. 

My new series ‘Marne en brumes’ was created especially for this exhibition at the Epernay Tourist Office in Champagne.” 

Monday to Sunday from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm 

From 9.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm in May.
