Two new individual high quality, comfortable apartments purposefully designed for holidaymakers conforming to the latest ecological standards will be ready to welcome you to the heart of this lovely village from July 2023. Each apartment is 75 m2 accommodating up to four people and may be booked for a minimum of two nights.
La Belle Prise and La Belle Cachette have been tastefully decorated and each apartment has two double bedrooms that can welcome up to four people with spacious ensuite shower rooms with toilet and sink unit. Top quality fully fitted kitchens and comfortable seating and dining areas are individually designed and arranged for each space. Wi-fi is provided and there are usb type A and C charging sockets in the bedrooms. Reversible air conditioning and high-performance double glazing and insulation has been fitted throughout the building. There is a dedicated parking space for each apartment, one with an electric charging point and there is ample parking for extra vehicles a very short distance away. There is a no smoking policy throughout the property and ashtray is provided outside for your use. The beds are made for when you arrive, towels and toiletries are provided in the shower rooms.

La Belle Prise on the ground floor is accessed by its’ own door which leads you into the cosy lounge/dining room furnished with an embracing two-seater sofa and two chairs, side tables, sideboard, dining table and chairs and lamps to enhance the cosy atmosphere. Next to the front door, double doors onto an outside seating area have electric shutters. Wi-fi, an internet socket and 43”LG LED 4K television are there for your enjoyment, as well as a selection of board games. There is a reversible air conditioning and heating unit in the main room and each bedroom.

The top of the range fully fitted kitchen is to the left, equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, extractor hood, microwave, stand-alone fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, raclette machine, stick blender and even a washer/drier for your clothes. All the cutlery, crockery utensils and other equipment you need is provided, too much to mention here.
The main bedroom has a large window onto the street with an electric shutter and attention has been paid to ensure the maximum comfort for the best nights’ sleep, a large 160cm double bed and mattress with five support zones, sumptuous pillows in two different sizes and a cosy quilt will ease you into a restorative rest. By each bedside there a usb A and C charging socket and a night table with lamp. A wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, as well as a chest of drawers will keep your clothes in good order. The ensuite shower room has a modern toilet, walk-in shower with a screen, stylish sink unit and heated towel rail with fluffy towels.

The second bedroom is presented with two single beds with the same quality mattresses as the others that can be joined to make a double bed if requested beforehand, still with the cosy pillows and quilt provided in all the other bedrooms in the apartments. There is a light well and a fitted wardrobe around the bed with two separate hanging spaces and shelving, as well as a drawer unit and bedside tables with lamps and a usb A and C socket to charge your phone. The ensuite shower room has a modern toilet, walk-in shower with a screen, stylish sink unit and heated towel rail with fluffy towels. Heating and air conditioning are controlled by remote control for each unit.

La Belle Prise is suitable for children and a collapsible baby bath for the walk-in shower, highchair and cot can be provided upon request. As every baby has different needs, please bring your own bedding for the cot.
We love to take our dogs on holiday with us and understand that they are part of the family, so up to two clean and well-behaved dogs are welcome in this apartment with an extra charge of 10€ each per night.

Matougues is situated in a rich arable agricultural and viticultural area next to the river Marne in the UNESCO World Heritage Champagne Region. With a population of just over six hundred people this well cared for village has a bakery, hotel with restaurant and seminar facilities, beauty salon, hairdresser, church, and village hall within a few hundred metres from the apartments. There are activities for all ages in the village. There is pétanque, a football pitch, tennis court and a children’s play area all within walking distance.
Easily accessed from the A26 motorway, J17, 5km (about 3 miles) away, Matougues is perfectly placed as a base to visit Epernay and the many attractions in the champagne area, Chalons-en Champagne, the city of Reims and its’ 14th century cathedral or Lac du Der Nature Reserve and the lakes of the Forêt d’Orient. For lovers of nature, fishing, running, or cycling, everything is practically on your doorstep. The river Marne is just around the corner, there are many gravel tracks for running and cycling and for those for whom distance is no problem, there is a cycle route V52 that you can join that runs from Dormans to Vitry-le-François, covering 90 kms (about 56 miles) in total. Disneyland Paris is 90 minutes away by car and is also easily accessible by train. If you love shopping, McArthurglen has 94 outlet shops 76km (about 47 miles) away near Troyes.
Shows and events are scheduled throughout the year in Châlons-en-Champagne, in particular the Foire de Chalons located at the Capitole with more than 750 exhibitors is the second agricultural fair in France, which takes place in early September and the Fête Music on June 21. In addition to the Capitole in Châlons, there are numerous theatres, cinemas and arenas located within a few kilometers of Matougues.
