Water is everywhere on the site, but in summer it is discreet… No wonder: a wetland is not necessarily flooded or waterlogged all year round!
Cultivated in places and shaped by the hand of man, this meadow flooded in winter and luxuriant in summer, nestled in the valley of the Marne, gives pride of place to the local biodiversity, between marsh irises, rushes and reeds.
The Wet Garden is also an interpretation trail to follow along a wooden pontoon, providing knowledge on the fauna and flora of this 3.5 hectare area.

Au Gué du Pré Salé - Plivot
Enjoy the river to the fullest… right in the middle of the water, while respecting the fragility of its natural character, thanks to the layout that includes the Tarnauds River and its water pocket: wooden elements (platforms, pontoon and benches) and areas planted with native species, allow you to take advantage of this old ford which allowed the herds to drink and cross the river.
These river banks, marsh areas and riparian vegetation have a natural richness linked to the humidity of the floods and the nearby water table.
Observe the marsh iris and water lily or the various clumps of grasses. Stroll among the black elder trees, hawthorns, hazel trees, charcoal trees or dogwoods. Experience the thrill of the gentle swaying of the different varieties of willow that make up the oseraie!
