Description

This self-guided experience allows you to explore the Champagne vineyards by electric bike while following an easy GPS route on your smartphone.

After a short welcome and bike setup, participants receive access to the route via a GPS navigation app. The electric bike makes it easy to ride through the rolling Champagne hills while enjoying the scenery.

Several itineraries are available depending on the chosen starting point and availability.

Aÿ-Champagne – Historic vineyards

Ride through the Grand Cru vineyards surrounding Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and enjoy spectacular views over the Marne Valley. Departure: Aÿ

Hautvillers – Birthplace of Champagne

Head towards Hautvillers, a charming hilltop village in the heart of the vineyards. Visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried and admire panoramic views over the Marne Valley. Departure: Aÿ or Épernay

Épernay – Avenue de Champagne

Discover the capital of Champagne, ride along the famous Avenue de Champagne and explore the surrounding western vineyard slopes with panoramic views. Departure: Épernay

Côte des Blancs – Chardonnay terroir

Cycle through the Grand Cru villages of Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Cuis, famous for their Blanc de Blancs Champagnes and rolling vineyard landscapes. Departure: Avize

Montagne de Reims – Pinot Noir terroir

Explore the vineyards around Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes, in a region renowned for the structure and depth of Pinot Noir Champagnes. Departure: Rilly-la-Montagne

Each itinerary includes a visit to a Champagne house and a tasting of three cuvées.

Total activity duration: approximately 3 hours.

Two time slots are generally available: morning or afternoon.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure A recent smartphone is required to follow the GPS route The recommended route must be followed for safety reasons Champagne houses visited may vary depending on availability Maximum rider weight: 120 kg (according to bike specifications) Participants must be able to ride a bicycle safely and independently (the organizer reserves the right to refuse participation if cycling ability is insufficient) In all cases, cancellation or modification will result in a 5% fee to cover banking and administrative costs. Cancellation or modification is possible up to 72 hours before the start of the rental. Cancellation or modification less than 72 hours before the start of the rental is not possible and is not refundable except in the event of proven adverse weather conditions. Cancellation or modification due to proven adverse weather conditions (wind with gusts of more than 80 km/h, rain or snow storm) is possible at the sole discretion of the Pedal 'N' Pop.
