Description

This vintage moped excursion offers an original way to discover the Grand Cru vineyards of Aÿ-Champagne.

The activity begins with participant check-in and a safety briefing. Helmets and gloves are provided, administrative formalities are completed and participants are introduced to the mopeds. This preparation takes approximately 30 minutes.

The ride covers approximately 17 km along roads through the Champagne hillsides and passes several iconic vineyard landscapes. Participants ride between the vineyard plots and reach a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Marne Valley. Throughout the ride, the guide shares information about the history of the region, vineyard work and the characteristics of the Champagne terroir.

Each participant rides their own moped and the group is accompanied by the guide for the entire excursion.

An optional second part can be added to the experience: a visit to a Champagne house. Participants can explore the cellars before enjoying a guided tasting of three Champagne cuvées.

The total duration of the activity is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for the moped ride, or 3 hours with the cellar visit and tasting option.

Tours accommodate 4 to 12 participants, with a minimum of 4 participants required to confirm the departure.

Minimum age: 18 years Must hold a valid category A or B driving licence for at least two years Participants must know how to ride a bicycle and be in good physical condition Maximum rider weight: 110 kg (due to the technical specifications of the mopeds) Participants must have valid personal liability insurance A valid driving licence must be presented on the day of the activity. Without a licence, participation cannot be authorised. A security deposit of €700 per moped is required via card pre-authorisation (Visa or Mastercard, credit or debit). The deposit is released after the tour provided the mopeds are returned in the same condition. Without a deposit, no vehicle can be assigned and no refund will be issued. Before departure, participants attend a safety briefing including equipment distribution, administrative formalities and moped handling instructions (approximately 30 minutes). Please arrive on time. Participants must arrive sober. No vehicle will be entrusted to anyone under the influence of alcohol. In all cases, cancellation or modification will result in a 5% fee to cover banking and administrative costs. Cancellation or modification is possible up to 7 days before the start of the rental. Cancellation or modification less than 7 days before the start of the rental is not possible and is not refundable except in the event of proven adverse weather conditions. Cancellation or modification due to proven adverse weather conditions (wind with gusts of more than 80 km/h, rain or snow storm) is possible at the sole discretion of the Pedal 'N' Pop.
