La Grande Traversée
Do you have a desire for nature, discoveries in immersion and convivial moments in Champagne? You are on the right track!
The Grande Traversée is the festive and sporting event not to be missed next Sunday, June 11! For its 2nd edition, this great walking tour invites you to explore the remarkable landscapes of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, between the “Forêt d’Exception®” and the historic hillsides listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Program of La Grande Traversée 2023
La Grande Traversée 2023 is a 22 kilometer hike through the landscapes of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, but not only!
There will also be 2 km (in Germaine), 7 km (in Rilly-la-Montagne), and 10 km (in Aÿ-Champagne) loops so that everyone can enjoy this day. The little extra? You can build your route as you wish by joining one of these villages by train thanks to the TER of La Ligne des Bulles Reims-Epernay! Notice to people leaving from the Epernay train station: a special and gourmet welcome will be reserved for you by the Communauté d’Agglomération d’Epernay (and parking is free on Sunday)!
Festive stops will be set up in the heart of the communes of Rilly-la-Montagne (where the Office will be present at your side), Germaine, Mutigny and Aÿ-Champagne, bringing together various activities, small restaurants, as well as registration stands.
The watchwords for this day: discovery, conviviality and sharing!
Practical information :
Free event on registration giving access to the trails with a roadbook. Registration on site the same day at the departure of the festive stops.
NB: The route of La Grande Traversée does not form a loop, so it is recommended to plan a train ticket to return to the starting point once the hike is over.
