Located at the very top of the avenue de Champagne, Maison Mercier stands out for its self-guided mini-train tour, a unique and unusual experience! Climb aboard and explore the 18 km of cellar 30 meters below the avenue’s chalk floor. You can also choose to take a guided tour of the cellars, or take a self-guided tour with an audioguide. Each visit is followed by a discussion with a sommelier during a tasting of several cuvées from the range.

Cellar tour & tasting at Champagne Moët & Chandon

A must on the Avenue de Champagne, Champagne Moët & Chandon is home to the largest cellars in Champagne (28 km of galleries). Book your visit to discover the history and manufacturing secrets of a great house with ancestral know-how! Depending on the cuvées you wish to discover, you can choose between several experiences: Impérial, Grand Vintage, white or rosé… The tour of the cellars, located at a depth of 10 to 30 meters, is led by a guide-interpreter, and followed by a tasting with commentary by one of the house sommeliers.

Cellar tour and tasting at Champagne Boizel - Atelier 1834

In the heart of the avenue de Champagne, Champagne Boizel offers 3 different types of cellar tours. The first 2, “Millésime” and “Joyau de France” are public. Each includes a tour of the house (cellar, winery and historic cellars), and is differentiated by the cuvées tasted at the end of the visit. The third tour, called “Trésor”, is a private tour featuring a personalized welcome. Take the time to learn more about the company’s craftsmanship and know-how! If you simply wish to discover Boizel champagnes, then visit L’Atelier 1834, a contemporary space dedicated to tasting within the estate.

Visit Champagne Perrier Jouët & tasting

Recognizable by its affinity with the Art Nouveau movement, Champagne Perrier-Jouët has taken the same chiselled care to build different visitor experiences at the heart of its historic site at 26 avenue de Champagne. A tasting workshop at the boutique, a gourmet experience at the Cellier Belle Époque, a creative champagne bar, or a gourmet lunch at the Maison Belle Époque, just across the street at number 11… It’s up to you to choose which inspiring path you’d like to take to understand the heritage and unique style of this beautiful house.

During an exceptional visit, you’ll have plenty of time to discover this beautiful 19th-century residence, its architecture and English garden, not forgetting the wine cellar, where the house keeps its most precious vintages. At the end of the tour, depending on the package you’ve chosen, you can taste the various emblematic cuvées in the cosy setting of De Venoge’s champagne bar, L’Écurie, or on the sunny terrace in fine weather.

If you’re strolling through the streets of downtown Epernay, chances are you’ll spot the Champagne de Castellane tower. This emblematic building is just a glimpse of the treasures it houses. You can discover them on a guided tour of the cellars, which also includes access to the Musée de la Tradition Champenoise and a tasting of a flute of Brut Croix Rouge, Champagne De Castellane’s signature wine. Other tour options include the 66-meter-high, listed tower, or the Salle des étiquettes, with its incredible collection of over 7,000 Champagne labels.

A true meeting place, the home of Champagne Elodie D. hosts both guest rooms and a champagne bar, Bulles & Bonheur. Here you can taste the house wines and nibble on some local specialities! It’s also the starting point for personalized tours of the family estate, from the Ecueil vineyard to the winery on avenue Ernest Vallé.

When three Epernay winemakers join forces at the gateway to the Avenue de Champagne, the result is a unique place to taste the fruit of their singular expertise! Champagne Patrick Boivin, Champagne Vincent Testulat and Champagne Janisson-Baradon have come up with different trilogies of cuvées to be tasted in a privileged setting where they generously share their expertise.

At 19 avenue de Champagne (you can’t make that up!), Le 19 is one of the new landmarks on Sparnac’s legendary thoroughfare. Part boutique, part champagne bar, this unique immersive space showcases champagnes from winemakers and cooperatives. If you’re a fan of cuvées representative of the appellation’s terroirs, the selection (100 winemakers) is sure to please!
